How It Plays

Communication Limits

You can't just say whatever you want to your teammates — the game limits what you can share, which makes every hint count.

Cooperative Game

Everyone works together against the game itself — you win or lose as a team, so get ready to strategize together!

Dice Rolling

You roll dice to determine outcomes — there's always that thrilling moment of suspense before they land!

Die Icon Resolution

The symbols on the dice tell you exactly what happens next — each face triggers a different effect.

Pattern Building

You arrange pieces to create specific patterns that score points — like solving a colorful puzzle.

Re-rolling and Locking

You can re-roll some of your dice while keeping the good ones — it's all about improving your hand bit by bit.

Set Collection

You're gathering matching groups of cards or tokens to score points — the more complete your sets, the better you do.

Variable Player Powers

Each player has unique abilities that make their experience different — finding the best way to use yours is half the fun.

About This Game

Star Trek: Five-Year Mission is a cooperative dice placement game for 3-7 players who take the roles of crew members of either the USS Enterprise (from the original Star Trek series) or the USS Enterprise-D (from Star Trek: The Next Generation). Each crew member has a different ability and the crew’s abilities differ for each crew. In these roles, players try to cooperatively solve a series of blue (easy), yellow (medium) and red (difficult) alerts to score points, attempting one of 6 different difficulty levels to win before failing five such alerts, or the Enterprise being destroyed.…
