How It Plays
Action Queue
You plan a sequence of actions in advance, then they play out in order — think ahead or get left behind.
Campaign / Battle Card Driven
Special cards trigger events and drive the action forward — each card played can shift the whole narrative.
Cooperative Game
Everyone works together against the game itself — you win or lose as a team, so get ready to strategize together!
Grid Movement
Pieces move on a grid of squares — straightforward movement that still leaves room for deep tactical thinking.
Hand Management
You have a hand of cards and deciding which to play, save, or discard is the core puzzle.
Hexagon Grid
The board uses hexagons instead of squares — this gives you more directions to move and think about.
Modular Board
The board is made of separate pieces arranged differently each game — no two setups are ever quite the same.
Scenario / Mission / Campaign Game
You play through linked missions or scenarios that build on each other — it's like an epic adventure in chapters.
About This Game
This is a digital, single-scenario promo item for Gloomhaven. After players fail a scenario, instead of retrying it, they can instead play this scenario to retroactively count the other as a victory, but the cost for losing is steep. This scenario also adds a new mechanic of "taken" cards, where players lose cards to a separate stack, and these cards can only be recovered through a specific action.…
