How It Plays
Action Queue
You plan a sequence of actions in advance, then they play out in order — think ahead or get left behind.
Area Movement
You move your pieces across different regions on the board, trying to position yourself in the best spots.
Deck, Bag, and Pool Building
You start with a basic set of cards or tokens and gradually add better ones — watch your engine grow stronger over time.
Hand Management
You have a hand of cards and deciding which to play, save, or discard is the core puzzle.
Modular Board
The board is made of separate pieces arranged differently each game — no two setups are ever quite the same.
Set Collection
You're gathering matching groups of cards or tokens to score points — the more complete your sets, the better you do.
Variable Player Powers
Each player has unique abilities that make their experience different — finding the best way to use yours is half the fun.
About This Game
The “Lost Kingdoms” civilization box is the perfect expansion to Monumental with 4 new Civilizations: Aztecs, Mughals, Amazons and Atlanteans (all perfectly compatible with the 5 Core civilizations) as well as more terrain tiles with new environments (desert, jungle, islands, Aztec pyramids) to enable an all-new 5 players mode! In “Lost Kingdoms” each civilization comes with its own deck of cards including cultural policies, Knowledge and Buildings as well as new very specific Provinces per civilization: pyramids for the Aztecs, desert for The Mughals, jungle for the Amazons and islands for the Atlanteans. Of course, these new terrain could be used with or without the Civilization to enhance the look of the board and your creation of maps.…
