How It Plays
Action Points
You get a limited number of action points each turn and choose how to spend them — prioritizing is everything.
Dice Rolling
You roll dice to determine outcomes — there's always that thrilling moment of suspense before they land!
Hexagon Grid
The board uses hexagons instead of squares — this gives you more directions to move and think about.
Scenario / Mission / Campaign Game
You play through linked missions or scenarios that build on each other — it's like an epic adventure in chapters.
Simultaneous Action Selection
Everyone chooses their action at the same time and reveals together — no waiting around, and plenty of surprises.
About This Game
Federation Commander has two base games: Klingon Border (which is the same as Federation Commander: Academy + Graduation) and Romulan Border. When placed together, you have ships for the United Federation of Planets and the four major empires that surround them. If you already have Romulan Border and want to add the Klingon and Kzintis, instead of buying Klingon Border (or Academy + Graduation), you can buy this discounted package that includes the non-duplicated parts of Klingon Border, such as the counters, ship cards, reference cards, and a special ship/scenario book.…
