About This Game
Operation RI is a print and play wargame of moderate complexity for one or two players, simulating the Japanese overland advance on Port Moresby in 1942 and the subsequent Allied counter-offensive. Components (need to be printed, the counters require assembly): Rulebook Charts and tables Set up cards 2 x maps (recommended print size 11" x 17" each) 1 x half sheet of double-sided unit counters and markers (74 combat units and 12 markers) 1 x half sheet of double-sided strength markers (88 strength markers) Historical background and designer's notes Comprehensive and illustrated examples of play Scale: battalion and company Map: point-to-point movement Time frame: weekly turns Solitaire suitability: very high Design features: battle fatigue, jungle and mountain warfare, Allied air transport, Japanese bunker defences.
