Since 2024, Mutant Year Zero: Zone Wars – Robots & Psionics has captivated fans of deck building and dice rolling with its medium-light complexity design.

How It Plays

Action Points

You get a limited number of action points each turn and choose how to spend them — prioritizing is everything.

Chit-Pull System

Tokens are drawn randomly from a pool to determine who acts next — it adds suspense to every round.

Deck, Bag, and Pool Building

You start with a basic set of cards or tokens and gradually add better ones — watch your engine grow stronger over time.

Dice Rolling

You roll dice to determine outcomes — there's always that thrilling moment of suspense before they land!

Events

Random events shake things up during the game — sometimes helpful, sometimes chaotic, always interesting.

Line of Sight

Your units can only interact with what they can directly see on the board — positioning matters a lot.

Measurement Movement

You physically measure distances to move pieces — grab a ruler and get precise with your positioning!

Scenario / Mission / Campaign Game

You play through linked missions or scenarios that build on each other — it's like an epic adventure in chapters.

Solo / Solitaire Game

You can play this one all by yourself — perfect for a quiet evening when you want a fun challenge on your own.

Variable Player Powers

Each player has unique abilities that make their experience different — finding the best way to use yours is half the fun.

About This Game

In the Robots & Psionics expansion set for Zone Wars two new factions are introduced: the robotic Mechatron Hive and the Nova Cult psionics. With these you can now play three- or four-player games, turning the fun and mayhem up to a new level! The Robots & Psionics expansion also includes new terrain pieces, additional Zone and artifact cards, and a further ten beautifully sundropped miniatures, ready to be used right away.…
