How It Plays
Connections
Building links between elements on the board rewards you — the more connected things are, the better.
Map Addition
New areas get added to the map as you play — the world literally grows as the game goes on.
Pattern Building
You arrange pieces to create specific patterns that score points — like solving a colorful puzzle.
Tile Placement
You lay tiles on the table to build a map, landscape, or pattern — every piece you place changes the board.
About This Game
Forest is one of the Expansion marked with "Easy" complexity: a good candidate to be among the first ones you try, or to play with inexperienced people. Your goal is to build Forests all around your network, while keeping them separate from each other (a bit like Cities work in the core game; at the end of the game, you make 3 points for each group of at least 3 Forest tiles that are orthogonally adjacent). Additionally, some Forest tiles also have pinpoints where you can place Lookout Tower pawns (which, like gondolas in the Canals Expansion, can be placed using any Placement token as a wild card, instead of placing the corresponding standard pawn).…
