Since 2020, Knight Light has captivated fans of grid movement with its design.
How It Plays
Grid Movement
Pieces move on a grid of squares — straightforward movement that still leaves room for deep tactical thinking.
About This Game
This is a reworking of Knight Line for a print and play collection, which ended up different enough to be its own game. There are no stacks, movement follows the 12* protocol, and a line of 5 rather than 4 is required to win After the starting player adds a piece in their colour to a grid, players take turns adding 2 pieces in their colour to a using chess knights moves from their existing pieces, with the pieces of all players required to be connected (diagonal is OK) at all times. The aim is to form a row of 5 pieces in your colour (in any direction, including diagonal). The standard game is played on a 13 x 13 grid (medium sized Go board)
