Community Snapshot
Since 2008, Cuba: Sambaschule has captivated fans of worker placement and hand management with its design.
How It Plays
Auction / Bidding
Players bid against each other for cards, tiles, or resources — knowing when to go big and when to fold is the key.
Hand Management
You have a hand of cards and deciding which to play, save, or discard is the core puzzle.
Simultaneous Action Selection
Everyone chooses their action at the same time and reveals together — no waiting around, and plenty of surprises.
Variable Phase Order
The order of game phases can change each round depending on player choices — keeps everyone on their toes.
Worker Placement
You place your workers on action spaces to claim them before anyone else — it's a scramble for the best spots!
About This Game
Sambaschule was bundled with the limited edition of Cuba (wooden cigar box) at "Spiel 2007" in Essen. As you can see on the tile, the building costs 2 wood (white) and 2 stone (red) cubes.
