Since 2002, Arctic Front: Finland's War, 1939-1944 – A Panzer Grenadier Scenario Book has captivated fans of hexagon grid and secret unit deployment with its medium complexity design.
How It Plays
Hexagon Grid
The board uses hexagons instead of squares — this gives you more directions to move and think about.
Secret Unit Deployment
You place your units face-down so opponents don't know what you've got — the reveal is always exciting.
About This Game
Adds Finnish troops to Panzer Grenadier. 20 scenarios and 88 mounted and die-cut counters with Sissi ski commandos, Finnish-made BT-42 assault guns, Soviet SMK heavy tanks and Aerosans (An aerosan is a type of propeller-powered snowmobile, running on skis, used for communications, mail deliveries, medical aid, emergency recovery and border patrolling in northern Russia, as well as for recreation.) Aerosans were used by the Soviet Red Army during the Winter War and the Second World War. Not playable by itself, but an expansion for Panzer Grenadier: The Eastern Front and Heroes of the Soviet Union.
