This involved full-on combat between the Republic of Georgia and the Russian Federation plus two breakaway regions of Georgia; Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The fighting began in the Ossetia (the primary Georgian target) and quickly spread to all of Georgia and Abkhazia.…
