BoardMatch is a free, non-commercial board game recommendation tool. You answer a short quiz about your group and receive personalized game recommendations scored against a database of 100,000+ games.

No user account is required. The service is provided at no cost and contains no advertising.

3. Game Data & Attribution

Game data displayed on BoardMatch — including names, descriptions, ratings, player counts, play times, categories, and cover images — is sourced from BoardGameGeek (BGG) under a non-commercial license. This data is the property of BoardGameGeek, LLC and its contributors.

BoardMatch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by BoardGameGeek. The "Powered by BGG" logo and link are displayed in compliance with BGG's API terms of use.

4. Recommendations Disclaimer

Recommendations are generated algorithmically based on publicly available BGG data and your quiz answers. They reflect statistical patterns, not expert advice. BoardMatch makes no guarantee that any recommended game will be enjoyable for your specific group.

Scores and match percentages are relative indicators, not absolute quality measures. Game suitability depends on many factors beyond what any quiz can capture.

5. No Warranty

BoardMatch is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that game data will be accurate, complete, or current.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BoardMatch and its maintainers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download data from BoardMatch
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the scoring algorithm for commercial purposes
• Redistribute BGG-sourced game data obtained through BoardMatch
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
